Bagar is in the Jhunjhunu District of the  Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, India. It is on the Sikar-Luharu State Highway between District Headquarter Jhunjhunu and Chirawa. It is 14 km east of Jhunjhunu City, 17 km from Chirawa, 190 km from Jaipur and 250 km from Delhi. The geographical coordinates are 28° 11' 0" North, 75° 30' 0" East.

There is a railway station in a nearby village called Ratanshaher, about 3 km from Bagar, on the Jhunjhun-Loharu Line. Also there are railway stations in Jhunjhunu (which is a 15 km from Bagar) and Chirawa (which is 17 km from Bagar). From all stations, you would take a local bus to Bagar, costing from Rs. 3-7 per person one way. Private jeeps can also be hired.
